Family support services

Complementary to our medical care services, the family support services are provided by SSPAD volunteers committed to the patients and their families. Through their work, volunteers help realize the mission of the SSPAD to keep patients at home and improve their quality of life. They offer support to families who request it, by providing transportation to medical appointments, support, respite and even massage therapy. Volunteers also assist our work by providing administrative support to the organization.

Complementary services

– Provision of medical supplies necessary for the delivery of care.

– A loan service for specialized equipment

– Telephone support and services that are available 7 days a week, 8am to midnight. During the night, between midnight and 8am, a telephone service dedicated to the most vulnerable patients can answer your call, if needed.

Testimonials

I only have compliments. Your staff accompanied me during the very difficult time of taking care of someone with incurable cancer. I don’t know how I would have done it without you. The team supported the patient on this final leg of their journey. This was my second experience as an informal caregiver. It breaks the cycle of isolation. A big thank you to all of you.

Caregiver

Thank you kindly to the entire team that Pascal met: doctors, nurses, care providers, …he used to say that he was very lucky, and lacked for nothing. To him, the team were angels he was meeting. Thank you again, you are wonderful.

Céline

Caregiver

Just a note to say thank you for the care that my mother Graziella received, and for your help and compassion. Thank you for helping us keep her at home, where she wanted to be, as long as possible. As you have shown, you do more than a job, it is a calling. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
