My mother looked forward to the nurses who visited her. On one specific occasion the nurse decided to remain with her for a bit when she saw how upset and distraught she was. Living 4 hours away, I was unable to be by her side during my step fathers illness on a daily basis so my sister and I were extremely grateful for the compassion and kindness she received through your organization. I am confident you are well aware of what your service means to those in need but in addition to that, you also provide peace of mind to the surrounding family.
She always said the nurses were angels on earth and she was right!
Thank you,
Krista

Dear Palliative Home-Care Society,
I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the help and support that we have benefited from during the course of these past few months. I don’t know what I would’ve done without your organisation. Thanks to your devoted team, my husband was able to stay at home where he was happiest, where he felt supported. The compassion of your staff has been remarkable and very much appreciated.

Following the death of my mother on the 24th of November, I felt the need to write to you to thank you all without exception.
When sickness strikes a parent that you love deeply, you cannot imagine the dissaray that this causes. On top of knowing that you are going to lose this person, you cannot accept that our current health care system is caring for her only as a file , when she is much more than that.
Your nurses as well as nurses’s aides, through their kindness, their politeness, and their respect for the intimacy of the sick, allowed my mother to conserve her dignity.
Know that your care and services allowed my mother to « live » her illness and to leave all of us with wonderful memories.
I will never forget you,
Mary M.

Hello Angèle,
I would like to thank you for your presence during mother’s illness. She appreciated as «I much as I did all your support. Without this support I could not have continued till the end, physically or phychologically. As much as I have been disappointed by the health care and hospital system, I have been just as impressed by the services that you’ve offered us. Your work makes a difference! A great big thank you to those that helped us – Lucie, Pierre, Andrée, Carole, and let’s not forget the nurses’s aides Hélène and Raymonde, for their competence, their kindness and their respect, you also do a great job. Finally, thanks to Dr. Dion for her compassion and availability. I will never forget what you have done for us, and I hope that the good you do returns to you one hundred fold.
Thank you,
A.G.* and M.O.*
